This luna wing was found in the grass, photographed and printed onto paper, layered with numerous coatings of wax and then fused, carved edge to edge for organic surface relief, colored with many layers of powdered pigment, and adorned with tiny knots and stitches to further interpret this beautiful composition. It was adhered to a wooden tile that is ready to hang in your space, connecting to the beauty of details found in nature and our ability to further abstract that which we see, and reminded me of the feminine energy that exists around us, protecting and nurturing.
