As my frozen feet walked atop ice-layered snow, my eyes took in the blinding beauty of the vast landscape, glittering with radiant diamonds of light. Having brought my impressionistically-colored umbrella out with me to shade from the blaring sun as I photographed, my breath was taken away as I saw the reflections mirrored in the ice-laden vegetation, bringing all colors of the spectrum to these crystalized creations. Surely, this was one of my favorite unintentional discoveries of the year! These circles were cut from a very large print of #13, interpreted with additional carving and coloration. With sanctuaries small enough to be held in my hands, I reflected on the sacred gifts of nature and the wonderment that is felt.
